BlackMagic Logistics Solutions (BMG) is a renowned pit-to-port handling and hauling company, providing yellow equipment and road haul services to both internal and external customers. With operations spanning from Gqeberha to the Northern Cape, Vanderbijlpark, Saldanha, and Gezina in Pretoria, BMG is a key player in the logistics sector. 

THE GENESIS OF THE PARTNERSHIP 

The partnership between FAW Trucks Isando and BMG was forged through a series of discussions and assessment of product-to-service fit. The initial vision for MES was born in 1986 when the Johannesburg East Dutch Reformed Church started with an outreach programme that handed out food parcels to the homeless and unemployed community of Hillbrow. Gauteng, June 18, 2024 – FAW Trucks South Africa, marks its 30-year milestone with a touching exchange. In a symbolic gesture, FAW swapped out one of the last remaining 4th-generation models from a loyal customer’s fleet.

FAW commemorated a loyal customer’s long-standing partnership with the brand by replacing one of the very first units in their fleet, a 2009 15.180FLS model, which happens to be one of the last remaining 4th-generation vehicles in the region. The old unit with a remarkable estimated 1.5 million KMs on the clock, now graces the Coega museum, while the customer received a brand-new JK6 model — a testament to FAW’s commitment to progress and legacy.

It was a gathering of industry leaders and stakeholders, symbolizing three decades of success and partnership.  

The overarching theme of the celebration revolved around the harmonious fusion of Chinese and South African cultures, which has been instrumental in driving FAW South Africa’s success over the past thirty years in Southern Africa.
